Learn HOW TO WRITE A RESUME : HOW TO WRITE A COVER LETTER : HOW TO LAND A JOB

I am a teenager currently in high school and I am writing a resume. My resume list my objective, skills education, volunteer experience, work experience, activities and interest. Do i really need to list refrences when applying for these kind of part time jobs?
I am trying to apply for jobs at food services, stores like Walmart and Homedepot

Even McDonalds and Home depot checks references.

But for McDonalds, you don’t give them your resume. They don’t care. You have to fill out their application. That’s true of a lot of jobs like this.

what you could say in your resume is references are available upon request, because usually a resume will get you an interview and when you get hired will have to fill out an employment application, then you need the references..

You do not have to list references on your resume unless you want to. If a company asks for refeences on their apps, you have to list them there. There’s no choice. Good luck!

Believe it or not some people will get the job not based on qualifications but rather who they know (refrences)

even though to you it may seem pointless to list references but they take their jobs seriously they are acorporation and it is the same if u did it there opposed to a huge businesss somewhere else

Not everyone checks references but in case they do you will want to list some. You can use past bosses or coworkers, teachers, coaches, or team captians/teammates (if you are in school activites or sports), neighbors, friends. It really doesn’t matter who you use as long as they say nice things about you.
